Siemens AG choose Christ Kennicott to supply the complete water treatment and condensate polishing plant for the largest single generating station in Australia – KOGAN CREEK.

Despite stiff competition from suppliers around the globe ( including Australia, and India ) Siemens AG in Erlangen  decided on Christ Kennicott to provide the water treatment and condensate polishing plants for their super critical 750MW coal fired power plant being built in Queensland Australia.

This is great news for Christ Kennicott and our CONESEP® technology as it reinforces our position as a world leader in the provision of efficient condensate polishing technology using external regeneration. This is the third plant CONESEP® purchased by Siemens, the previous two were for China.

As well as the 2 x 850m3/hr  Prefilters and Condensate Polishing Plant, Kennicott are also responsible for the boiler feedwater makeup plant and teamed up with a local water treatment company OSMOFLO Pty Ltd to assist with the localisation and installation of the complete boiler feed water treatment plant and the Condensate Polishing plant system. Delivery of the plant is currently on track and scheduled for November 2005.

As Thompson Kennicott , we had supplied Condensate Polishing plant for two power stations in Australia in the 1980’s. At that time we were responsible for the design and engineering whilst a sister company John Thompson Australia carried out the installation.
