Christ Kennicott Water Technology Ltd is delighted to announce the award of a major new municipal contract, the first in the UK to utilize the Advanced AmberpackTM Technology.
The Contract has been signed with Wessex Water, the Bath based Water Utility Company and includes for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of five Advanced AmberpackTM Plants over the next four years.
Each scheme is being constructed to remove nitrate from the local ground water down to current EC standards for potable water.
The Advanced AmberpackTM Process is particularly suited to nitrate removal plants in that it is very simple to operate and maintain using components that are readily available. The process is compact and with a water conversion efficiency of around 99.8% it is ideally suited for remote locations where planning is an issue, especially if the new works are without direct sewer connection.
Christ Kennicott are the exclusive UK licensee of the Advanced AmberpackTM Technology developed by Rohm & Haas the world renowned chemical and ion exchange resin manufacturer.
This contract is seen as recognition of the confidence that Wessex Water has in both the process technology developed by Rohm & Haas and in Christ Kennicott’s renowned reputation for ion exchange plant design.
Similar nitrate problems are being experienced by other Water companies throughout the UK and it is hoped this early success will lead to several more such contracts in the near future.
